Terms of Service
Effective Date: October 16, 2026 | Last Updated: October 16, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Preachly mobile application, website, and related services (“Services”), operated by 1nfinite Aura Studios Inc. (“Preachly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), Ontario, Canada. By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
1. Introduction and Acceptance
Preachly is a Christian faith-based application designed to help individuals explore Christianity, understand Scripture, develop their faith, and express their beliefs with clarity and confidence. Certain features may be subject to additional terms presented when used. Where additional terms conflict with these Terms, the more specific terms govern the relevant feature, subject to applicable law.
2. Eligibility and Age Requirements
Preachly is intended for individuals aged 13 and older. Users under the age of majority must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. Users must comply with applicable laws and age restrictions. Parents and guardians are responsible for appropriate supervision. We do not knowingly permit children under 13 to maintain accounts and may remove accounts that do not meet eligibility requirements. Higher minimum ages or additional consent requirements apply where required by law.
3. Account Registration and Security
Depending on availability, registration may be supported through email and password, Sign in with Apple, or Sign in with Google. You agree to provide accurate information, protect your credentials, and notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You must not impersonate others, use unauthorized credentials, access another person's account, or circumvent authentication controls. We may apply reasonable verification and security measures.
4. Description of Services
Preachly provides AI-generated Christian responses, different explanation depths, personalized response tones, denominational and Scripture preferences, Bible reading, bookmarks, saved conversations, faith-related goals, check-ins, streaks, badges, and notifications, depending on feature availability.
Features may evolve or become unavailable. We do not guarantee that a particular feature, Bible translation, response format, or third-party integration will remain available indefinitely. Material changes affecting paid Services will be handled in accordance with applicable law.
5. Artificial Intelligence and Faith-Based Content
AI-generated responses: Preachly uses artificial intelligence and third-party AI technology to produce answers. Responses may contain inaccuracies, incomplete explanations, outdated information, theological interpretations you disagree with, or unexpected results. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or suitability for every circumstance.
Christian perspectives: Christianity includes different denominations and theological traditions. Preachly does not claim that every response represents the official doctrine of every Christian church. Personalization settings do not guarantee complete doctrinal alignment.
Not a church or ordained ministry: Preachly is a technology-based faith-support application, not a church, religious governing body, ordained minister, or substitute for pastoral care. Using the Services does not establish a legally privileged clergy-penitent relationship.
No professional advice: Preachly does not provide medical, psychiatric, psychological, legal, financial, or emergency services. AI-generated guidance is not a substitute for qualified professional advice. In an emergency or immediate danger, contact appropriate emergency services.
You are responsible for evaluating how you use generated information, subject to applicable legal rights and protections.
6. Subscriptions, Free Trials, and Billing
Plans and prices: Preachly may offer monthly and annual premium subscriptions. Prices, billing periods, taxes, and available offers are displayed in the application and Apple's purchase confirmation interface. The price confirmed through Apple governs the purchase.
Free trial: Eligible new subscribers may receive a seven-day free trial where offered. Eligibility depends on Apple's applicable subscription rules and purchase history. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, the subscription automatically converts to the selected paid plan at the disclosed price.
Automatic renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Apple generally recommends cancelling at least 24 hours before renewal or trial expiration to avoid an upcoming charge.
Payment processing: iOS purchases are processed by Apple's App Store. RevenueCat assists with subscription entitlement management. We do not directly process or store full payment-card information for App Store purchases.
Cancellation: Manage or cancel your subscription through Apple Account subscription settings. Cancelling generally prevents future renewals while paid access may continue through the current billing period, subject to Apple's rules.
Important: Deleting the application or your Preachly account does not automatically cancel an active Apple subscription. Cancel your subscription separately before deleting your account to avoid future renewals.
Refunds: App Store refund requests are generally handled by Apple. You may submit requests at reportaproblem.apple.com. Statutory refund and cancellation rights remain unaffected.
Price changes: Subscription prices may change. Advance notice or affirmative consent will be obtained where required by Apple or applicable law.
Account status: Deleting an account may permanently remove access to associated information and features even while an Apple subscription remains active.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Preachly for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or harmful purposes. Prohibited activities include harassment, impersonation, unauthorized access, malicious software, interference with service availability, unauthorized scraping, circumvention of security or subscription controls, unlawful infringement of third-party rights, and attempts to extract confidential system instructions or credentials.
We may investigate suspected misuse and apply proportionate restrictions or suspension, subject to applicable law.
8. User Content and Ownership
Your content: You retain any ownership rights you hold in questions, prompts, profile information, and other original content you submit (“User Content”). You are responsible for having the right to submit that content.
Processing permission: You grant Preachly a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, reproduce, and process User Content as reasonably necessary to operate the Services, generate responses, maintain account features, personalize experiences, provide support, maintain security, and meet legal obligations. This licence does not transfer ownership of your original content.
AI-generated outputs: Subject to applicable law and third-party rights, you may use, copy, and share AI-generated responses for lawful personal purposes. Outputs may not be unique or legally protectable, and similar responses may be generated for others. This permission does not transfer ownership of Preachly's proprietary materials or third-party Scripture translations.
Sensitive information: Exercise discretion when submitting private information. Relevant content may be transmitted to third-party AI providers as explained in our Privacy Policy.
9. Intellectual Property
Preachly's name, logo, proprietary software, application design, original graphics, custom interface elements, proprietary content, and original promotional materials are owned by or licensed to 1nfinite Aura Studios Inc. You may not commercially exploit, reproduce, distribute, or modify these materials without authorization, except where permitted by law or expressly supported by application features.
Scripture translations: Bible texts may be subject to separate copyright, licensing, and attribution requirements. Preachly does not claim ownership of third-party Bible translations. Public-domain and copyrighted translations may have different conditions of use.
You may not use Preachly branding to falsely imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation.
10. Sharing and External Platforms
Preachly may allow sharing of answers, Scripture-related content, achievements, and branded materials. You are responsible for reviewing content before sharing it and respecting third-party rights. Once shared externally, information may be retained or redistributed by recipients or platforms outside Preachly's control.
11. Privacy and Data Protection
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, how AI providers process submitted content, retention practices, account deletion, and available privacy rights. Mandatory privacy protections are not restricted by these Terms.
12. Account Deletion
You may request account deletion through the application's Settings or contact info@preachly.app for assistance.
Successful authenticated deletion removes the account and associated records from our primary application database in accordance with implemented data relationships. These may include profile information, conversations, bookmarks, reading records, goals, preferences, check-ins, achievements, and account-linked notification information.
Deletion may be irreversible. Certain information may remain temporarily or as permitted or required by law, including security logs, backups, legally required records, and independently retained third-party information.
Deleting your Preachly account does not cancel an active App Store subscription. Cancel separately through Apple to prevent future renewals.
13. Third-Party Services
Preachly relies on third-party providers, which may include OpenAI for AI processing, Google Firebase for configured authentication or related services, RevenueCat for subscription management, DigitalOcean for hosting, and Apple for app distribution and purchases.
Third-party services may have independent terms, policies, and operational limitations. Preachly is not responsible for independent third-party conduct to the extent permitted by law, without excluding responsibilities imposed on Preachly by mandatory laws.
14. Service Availability and Modifications
Service availability may be affected by network interruptions, maintenance, defects, security incidents, third-party outages, or changes in AI technology. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features for legitimate operational, security, technical, or business reasons. Material changes to paid features will be handled in accordance with applicable legal obligations.
15. Suspension and Termination
We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access for material violations of these Terms, fraudulent activity, security threats, unauthorized access, or legal requirements. Where reasonably practicable and appropriate, we may provide notice or an opportunity to address concerns. Urgent security or legal issues may require action without advance notice.
Termination does not automatically cancel Apple-managed subscriptions. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
16. Disclaimers and No Guarantee of Results
To the extent permitted by law, Preachly is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that AI responses will always be accurate, that theological interpretations will match your beliefs, that use will produce particular spiritual or personal outcomes, or that the Services will be uninterrupted or entirely error-free.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
17. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 1nfinite Aura Studios Inc., its directors, officers, employees, and authorized representatives will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from the Services where such exclusions are legally enforceable.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the Services during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) CAD $100.
These limitations do not apply where liability cannot legally be excluded or limited. Nothing in these Terms limits mandatory statutory consumer rights or remedies, or excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, or other matters where prohibited by law.
18. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify 1nfinite Aura Studios Inc. against third-party claims, damages, and reasonable expenses directly resulting from your unlawful conduct, intentional misuse of the Services, or infringement of another party's rights.
This provision does not require you to indemnify the Company for its own negligence, unlawful conduct, or breach of these Terms and is subject to applicable consumer-protection laws.
19. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and applicable federal laws of Canada. Where legally permitted, disputes will be subject to courts of competent jurisdiction in Ontario. This provision does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections or rights available under applicable law.
You are encouraged, but not required, to contact info@preachly.app before formal proceedings to seek an informal resolution.
20. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in features, technology, third-party services, subscriptions, security requirements, or applicable law. We will update the revision date and provide notice or obtain consent where legally required. Changes will not retroactively eliminate accrued rights or remedies.
21. General Provisions
Severability: If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply where legally permitted.
No waiver: Failure to enforce a provision does not automatically waive future enforcement.
Entire agreement: These Terms and applicable additional terms govern use of the Services, subject to mandatory law.
Assignment: We may assign these Terms in connection with a legitimate corporate transaction, subject to applicable law and user rights.
Electronic notices: We may provide service-related notices electronically, subject to applicable notice and consent requirements.
22. Apple App Store Additional Terms
These Terms are between you and 1nfinite Aura Studios Inc., not Apple Inc. Apple is not responsible for providing or maintaining Preachly. To the extent required by Apple's applicable terms, Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support services.
1nfinite Aura Studios Inc. is responsible for addressing applicable claims relating to the application, including product liability, legal compliance, and consumer-protection matters, to the extent required by law.
If the application fails to conform to an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, which may refund the purchase price, if any, under applicable App Store terms and law.
Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the provisions applicable to the Apple-distributed application and may enforce those provisions to the extent permitted by Apple's applicable agreements. You must comply with applicable App Store usage rules.
